I was wondering since I patched on the 15th and emu is now broke, well I just installed eq on the 15th and patched without reading emu like a moron. Well anyway the question is Can I set up my own server to play on, and if so can I set one up on a comp with windows xp or do I need linux? thx if anyone can help.

You can setup your server now, on a second pc, or even on your own PC, tho :
- 1 : database struct will change, at least the items table, when the uptodate source will be released, so be ready to change stuff in your DB.
- 2 : you won't be able to test it because you patched
- 3 : if you have a second box, Linux or Windows doesn't matter, eqemu's server works on both (i wouldn't advise you Linux if you don't yet master it)
- 4 : you can set it up for your own use (with Minilogin), and it ll be restricted to computers from your LAN (private network) or for public use, and then you will use EQemu's login servers.
