Is the current IRC information on the main page link up to date? When I try to connect it says the connection times out. I've tried connecting the maximum number of attempts yet I still get the same error.

If you are trying to connect to it from school or work, they probably have a proxy blocking you. Otherwise, it seems to work fine for me.

Extremely high probability that it is caused by the server being overloaded since I'm sure you are connecting to irc.eqemulator.net. Connect directly to one of the IRC servers like eqnet.eqemulator.net and you'll connect just fine.
