The file from cox.net gives me a CRC error. (The new zip file).
The ftp link times out getting directory listing using IE or any other ftp client.

A CRC error means the file extracted from the zip doesn't match the origional file that was zipped up. It's just a basic form of error detection.

It might have been corrupted when copying it to the cox.net server.

I'm not sure what the attachment size limit is for this forum, but perhaps you could recreate the zip (test it to make sure there's no errors) and attach it to a post here.

I was able to download the new zip and extract it without problems. I was only getting CRC errors on the first rar file.

I've downloaded it on 3 different machines and used 3 different programs to unzip it. All of them gave an error during extraction.

kawika : care to post a link to your working zip?

anyone know which servers are using this? I think I'll make habit of playing on servers that are only luclin-enabled ;P

also..

or shamelessly stolen from PEQ's db.
so wouldn't it actually be as accurate as Peq's work? I'm confused.

anyways, sounds nice. Hopefully now that I have the compiled 6.1 dr1 I might get to toy around with it...

PEQ has done a lot of work to their database in regards to perfecting spawns and such. I pretty much just spawned everything from logs and only fixed/added entires I knew were wrong or missing. The tables I took from PEQ are minor ones such as starting items.

a few more n00b querstions

So I could mix some of peq's tables with yours and it would stil work?

also...

Code:
INSERT INTO variables VALUES ('LoginType','Public','Set this to Minilogin to login using a minilogin server :)',20050602212938);

it looks like some of you might have to do some editting to the db before you can get it to work. :p

My database and PEQ's db only have limited compatiblity. Some tables can be exchanged, others can't. If you don't know much about how all the tables interact I suggest leaving them be.

The database is setup for public login by default. If everybody used minilogin, there weren't be any cool servers for people to gether on.

well I can try... > your tables seem to be more detailed...
a big plus would be to just get Alt. Adv working again.

The minilogin thing was to prevent others from running into the same wall I ran into a dozen times...

update: zone points seem a little DoA... Couldn't Login to cab east with them but PEQ Velious's Zone points worked fine (so I can tell)... just a heads up.

edit again: fixed. somehow dropping zone_points, loading PEQ's table, dropping it, then reloading yours seemed to work.
