Default bot dyearmor disconnect

There is an issue with the #bot dyearmor command that is causing the client to disconnect from the server

Also manually changing inst_color in bot_inventories seems to have no effect.
System

OS: Debian 8.5(Jessie)
Cmake: v. 3.0.2
GCC: v. 4.9.2

Clients Tested

Titanium
Underfoot
Rain Of Fear

Edit:

The server code was pulled and compiled yesterday and the server logfiles show nothing unusual.

Thank you in advance.

I know there is a problem with the dye armor command in regards to active updating..this is the first I've heard of a client-disconnect associated with it, though...

Just change the status level of 'botdyearmor' to '255' to block the command until it can be sorted out - if it's a major issue.

(No eta on a fix..this issue goes deeper than the bot command system...)

Disconnect bugs just seem to have a way of finding me, I'm sure you remember the last time http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=38995.

[Update]

A bug that led to armor not showing the correct color after dying was found and a temporary fix applied.

This bug also caused the incorrect color to be shown upon normal spawning and affected equipment exchanges.

Np

I play bots - when I do play - and found that.

If you run into any issues with this, lemme know.

Uleat,

I have stumbled onto another issue, when using "^botdyearmor * 255 168 255" it turns all the armor pink except the helmet which vanishes and turns the bot bald. Also "^botdyearmor 0 255 168 255" removes the helmet and makes the bot bald as well.

I did some digging in the database under bot_inventories and found that manually deleting the slotted item entry returns the hair. I restored the entry and set inst_color to 0 which returns the helmet with the default color, however all other color combinations seem to cause the bald bot problem.

Did I mention that bugs just have a way of finding me?

I haven't seen any activity from Uleat in the last month, so not sure if he's slipped away into real life commitments for awhile or
gone on a long vacation. Either way, I hope he's doing good.
