Default question on AE

When compatibility comes to anniversery edition and beyond, Like to SoF, will EQemu users be required to pay the monthly fee to sony to be able to play on these updated eqemu versions?

I ask because recently sony changed the way you patch, to be like Square enix with Final Fantasy XI, requiring you to be a subscriber to get the patches.

It isn;t that I mind paying, It is I mind working about 70 hours a week and maybe playing live for 30 minutes a month for my 15 bucks O_O

Well, since the project's days of being LIVE compatible are 99% likey to be over, you dont have to worry about payin SOE the 15 bucks a month, as the server will never run on what you can download from them.

Titanium, Anniversary, (insert expansion box set name here) are all box sets that are purchased as CD/DVD's from stores. They are all the same, wether you bought yours off of EBay, or at Best Buy. These version are what the emu's are coded for as anyone can obtain a specific version just by buying the cd's. You cant go to a specific patch, and now you cant even patch unless you pay first.

See what Im saying. Even with Titanium, the client that is in use in its disc's was never used on LIVE, therefore, the only way one could play on the emu is to buy the CD's, completly removing patching from the picture.
