Default get rid of the fog?

look at how they used to do plane clipping.

that same postion now you would see fog in the distance. i like how they used to do it, just cut the polygons at a distance, it looks like a horizon. is there something you could put in your eqclient.ini? what about a file you can delete with eqinside or something?

i think the fog hurts my fps.. thats why i really want it gone.

i took a screenshot in the same position just to see how gay it is, and damn, its gay.

and heres the same place during the day. http://img46.exs.cx/img46/9444/sunsetgay2.jpg both of these pics have plane clipping all the way up. (plane clipping slider doesnt do anything in wfreeport anymore...) and the most fucked up part is, i got WAY better fps before the sky/dx9 changes.

i want to post this on soe forums or something and demand an option to play with old engine.

please i beg j00, find out how to hax this fog away.

You used to be able to do it by setting UMBRA=FALSE or something in eqclient.ini, but evidently that setting is gone with the DX9 client, so I doubt there's any way to do it.

Won't that just make you see super far? I don't think that's what he's looking for...

question::::: does UseUmbra=False work on winters roar still??

if i could totaly turn off fog i would see just as far as i would before, exept instead of there being fog in the distance you would just see the sky where the clipping plane ends.. like before... jah?

theres a line in eqclient.ini called FogScale=0.100000

i change it.. but it doesnt seem to do anything.. :(

get a radeon 9700+ and you'll have no problems.

On PEQTGC server it cant find the cfg files for god knows what reason and we have ZERO clipping plane restrictions. you can see clear across every zone. hah and i have almost no slowdown in most cases.
