Default Unable to change eqhost

Hey guys, if someone could help me this I would greatly appreciate it. I miss the old EQ days and i've been desperately trying to get this to work =P

So I installed EQ Titanium just fine, renamed everything just like it said in techguy's walkthrough pdf file. Changed the properties and to the eqgame.exe and patchme...then i go into my everquest folder. I'm not interested in playing normal EQ again so that isn't a problem.

I go into the eqhost file and rename everything. I'm 100% sure i made no typos or anything. I click save and here is what it says word for word:

Cannot create the C:/Program Files/Sony/Emulator/eqhost.txt file.
Make sure the path and file name are correct.

I've been working on it for a day or so and can't seem to figure out what's wrong =/ Anyone have any ideas? I would greatly appreciate the help

Check the properties of the eqhost file and make sure the read only is not checked.

Its gotta be something weird. Its only a text file and nothing magical. Try moving it to your desktop or something. Then if you can edit move it back.

Did I hear "Vista"?

That might be it. Vista is a little more paranoid on security, and if you didn't explicity do the "Run as Administrator" thing when you brought up your text editor, it will not write to the Program Files folder.

Yeah I experienced that in Vista too. When it does that I just move it out of the folder and make the changes, then move it back.

if u dont want or cant run as administrator.. u can simply delete the old EQhost.txt file and replace it with a new one with the login server for this site..
