Default Windows 8 Question

Hi
I currently run WinXP Home 32bit 3.9ghz amd CPU with 4gb Ram.
All the programs I seem to download are all losing support for XP now (or make it clear that the good stuff is Win7 up) - will this emulator install and run on Win 8 64bit with no issues, or should I just save my cash.

tbh I'd say it's high time to bite the bullet and upgrade, but if you can hang on a bit longer then wait for Windows 10, the preview is out already and I really like it- it seems to have the best of Win8 and win7 so they obviously listened.

Which reminds me, I should give it a go and try to compile EqEmu on Windows 10.

Not sure if virtual box runs on WinXP but if it does, you could always run Debian in a virtual machine and host your server there

You really need to get off XP. :P

But. Wait until after the January 21 reveal event. If the OS is released on that date, you can skip 8 entirely. If not, go with 8.1 and then upgrade to 10 when it comes out.
