World of Alkora
About the project
"World of Alkora" is an ever-evolving project. The creators want to customize EverQuest with new zones, spells, new items, new classes, new races, new game contents, in a few words a totally new game based to allow players to live a totally different experience than EverQuest Live. "World of Alkora" Project was started in May 2004, and we know it will be a long project, but this has to start one day afterall !
About the game
"World of Alkora" take place in a totally new world, different from EverQuest, with its custom lore, world, deities, classes, legends making it a totally unique new world to discover.
Players are able to play unique class such as Psionist, Sorcerer, Hunter, Dragoon and much more ! "World of Alkora" main focus is to restrict as few as possible players gameplay. Instead like many games, there are no class/race restriction, you are free to make a Troll Priest, or a Dwarf Sorcerer, you can choose to follow the deity of your wish, an evil Halfling Shadowknight following Swoog, the god of destruction ? Why not, its your decision, but keep in mind the challenge will be harder !
About the server
We actually run a DEVELOPMENT SERVER, most of the time, the server is open and you will be able to check what we are adding days after days, server is called "World of Alkora Server" (Green Flagged). The server is hosted on servers platform composed by :
- Dual Xeon 2.4 HT + 4 GB Ram for World.
- P4C 2.6 + 2 GB Ram for SQL server.
- P4C 2.4 + 1 GB Ram for Web server.
Average ping on the current server is around 100.
How to help ?
You always wanted to make a server but never had the skills ? You have ideas about how you would make your own RPG ? Then you can help with the project, we have a website, a forum and we are always open, we don't want to make this OUR server, we want to make this YOUR server, where your word is taken in count, no nerf that make user frustrated, it will be your world.
Donations
With the incoming open of "World of Alkora", we are now open on donations, if you think like us, that a total custom legit server is needed on eqemu, donate to support the project and show us all those efforts since May 2004 was worthing it ! Donators will be rewarded at the opening of the server !
Applications
If you really want to help with the project and help us develop it, by helping with DB, code, the best thing to do is first to register on forum, read all information about the project and start to post on the forum.
GMs
Fortinuately, we don't need ANY GMs as of yet. We're just running a build server (as noted above). We're not hosting any events at the moment and are not taking any GM applications.
