Default (Regarding) Akkas_PEQ_Server_Installer

I followed all the steps here. Everything seems to install right. No errors but when I load my client it goes straight to the the EQEmu public client login. I played a PEQ last and it’s in my quick connect. But no Aaka’s PEQ Server at all for me to connect to private/solo server ? I changed my EQ Host file to my IP number like it says butt for some reason it keeps connecting like it’s still changed to the Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998 any ideas ?

Did you change the name of your server?

Should be on the list.

If it's a private login server.. I don't remember...

Yes I changed it to The Nameless... But the problem is it keeps connecting to EQEmulator site instead of private server. And my EQ file is set to my own IP so no clue how its even able to connect to the public servers at all ?

In your eqemu_ config.json file, scroll down and look at this part :

Code:
"loginserver" : {
                    "account" : "",
                    "host" : "127.0.0.1", <--- This is the login server host that your server will try to connect to.
                    "password" : "",
                    "port" : "5998"
Did you happen to notice the post I made with config samples here ?

If you DO NOT have login.eqemulator.net anywhere in your config or client eqhost.txt and your
server and/or client is still connecting to the eqemu public server list, then you have unknown
bugs on your end.

Just a note, just in case,
Also if you change your server name in the config file (longname and shortname), those entries have
to match in the tblworldserverregistration table in database as well. ServerLongName, ServerShortName

Is it possible you have 2 eq installs? That's the only way (if you saved) that you could be connecting to public after replacing eqemu login with your local ip

Do a search on your entire computer for the eqhost file and see what pops up

Better yet: right-click the eqgame shortcut you are launching from and check it's target, then go to that target and find the eqhost file and open it to check. You can do this easily by right clicking the shortcut and selecting open target location.

You also have to redo the shortcut from that folder once you are sure it is set right and SAVED, to be sure the shortcut you are clicking from desktop or wherever, is going to the correct emu install. I have backups of backups of my emu folder, then a public login folder and lan login folder, probably 6 copies of alive as well, and everyone of them has their own shortcut. You should probably rename the shortcut itself (created directly from inside the eq folder that you are sure the eqhost file is correct in) to EQLAN or something to be extra sure it's the right one before moving it elsewhere.
