Default Empty Server List

I'm trying to get back into some EQEmu, even if only playing at first, and right away I'm getting a consistently empty server list. I've tried my trusty hots/uf client and now the rof2 client with the same problem.

From what I read this effects linux clients running in wine and has to do with out of order UDP. Why the client expects them to be in order aside, it looks like there's a legacy login server / P99 solution here:
https://github.com/Zaela/p99-login-middlemand

Do we have an adaptation for the current login server running at 5999?
Also, in the many years past when I was playing from linux this was never an issue, so I'm curious what has changed.

Are there any known solutions?

Hey Tabasco..i found this. https://github.com/Zaela/eqemu-login-helper

Just extract it, go into the folder in a terminal and type make

Then go into bin and execute ./eqemu-login-helper

Change the contents of eqhost.txt in the Everquest folder to look like this

[LoginServer]
Host=localhost:5998

Keep it running, and then start Everquest with "wine eqgame patchme"

The server list will show up every time
