Default Zoning Crash

Hi guys,

I setup a private server using the guide stickied on this form. I am running the new steam F2P client, (RoF2).

I made it to level 30, and went to the West Commonlands zone, where my client crashes. I am receiving an error message:

"EverQuest cannot find the zone file 'commons' in the directory that you are currently running EverQuest from. Please check and make sure tat you do not have more than one directory w/ Everquest installed. If so, you may be running from the wrong directory"

I do see commons.* _chr.s3d, _chr.txt, _sndbnk.eff, _sounds.eff.

I tried copying and renaming comonlands .emt & .eqg as commons; that didn't work.

There is a commons.txt in the EQF2P maps folder too (if that's where I should be looking).

Is this a known issue? Can anyone help? Should I copy the commons file from Titanium and put it into my EQF2P directory?

Thanks for any advice, as always.

Edit: Sorry, I should be clear:

I have the EQ Titanium client available. Should I install the Titanium client, and grab the commons map files from that client and drop them into my RoK2 client? I am currently only running the RoK2 client, Titanium is not installed on my PC right now.

I also ensured my maps folder in the server is current, using Tortise svn.

The old West Commons is not supplied in RoF2. You will have to pull those files from Titanium. Basically copy all the files that start with commons from the root folder of your titanium client to your RoF2 client.

This worked, for any who have the same issue.

On an aside, to save yourself a major headache, if you have backed up your RoK2 client (per the getting started advice) make sure you are NOT pasting the maps into your backup copy.

Thank you Dagulus
