Default Just wanted to say thanks!

Thanks for all the work everyone has done on EQEmu.

I played EQ from beta for about 11 years (Povar). To this day I have yet to experience the amount of fun I had during those days.

It seems every 6 months or so I get the urge to load up the ol' Rogue but just couldn't get over how commercial the live game has become (RIP Varant).

Last night I got my first EQEmu server running. I haven't connected to it with any client yet but just the fact it was up and running without errors gave me a warm feeling (or was that the coffee I spilled in my lap?). Either way, just getting the ball rolling was very much enjoyable.

I can not wait to continue working on it.

Again,

THANK YOU!

Wade

It truly is amazing. I have followed other emulator projects for many years, it is quite a hobby of mine. Other than maybe the UO emulator this is the only one that has gotten this far. Others have just failed miserably. I had high hopes for the SWGEMU project but they locked down the source so it runs for just minutes before it shuts down, quite sad.

The programmers on this project are the lifeblood, and it is a thankless task most of the time.
