Default Necro Pet Model

Hey, I tried searching for this topic but I cant find anything useful.

My necro pet model is showing up as just a "human male" model. What did I screw up for this to happen and how can I fix it?

Thanks!

Not actually sure but did you attempt to change the model in general?

The human model seems to show up when the race model does not exist in that zone client side.

Here is an old post about it... I have never changed models myself, so no clue if there's an alternate method .

The above is probably whats wrong but if you didn't change the model try changing its gender and texture around. Some models that don't have gendered variants will result in the human model showing, like a skeleton for example. If that's the issue find the correct combination and then #npcedit gender x and #npcedit texture x and repop.

I assumed it was some missing model or texture but was unsure how to go about fixing it.

The weird thing is that the specter and skeleton models that are used for the necro pet show up find for NPCs its just my character as far as I can tell.

You'll have to downgrade them to old models, which is race ID 85. Currently they're 485 and I guess your client is missing that race model.

In the database... is the correct entry in NPC Types?

Yes. should be something like update npc_types set race = 85 where race = 485; Don't take my word on that, but that /should/ be correct (not looking at the DB ATM) the race IDs are correct though.
