Default Proper client?

So with only a big of trouble and hiccups along the way, I've managed to get a working EQ server on my local machine and connect to it on 127.0.0.1, but it's clear that my Underfoot client (with "the" missing files dropped in) is not matching up on all the right DNA receptors.

The server comes up as "World: Akkas Windows PEQ Installer (FhbL5H) Clients: # (always 0 or 1, because of course I am either logged in or not, and there's nobody but me).

Should I be using a RoF2 client with this server, to get everything working properly? Will the official client from everquest.com work with the emulator?

You can set the server up for specific clients and with limitations update your client to the server (spells and skills etc.)

The EQ live client will not work.

Assuming you did minimal work to server since the name wasn't even changed, but ROF2 works with a stock server.

I did nothing to it, just installed it and started playing.

Eventually I will probably mess with it, but not until I have half a clue what I am doing.

You have either 0 or 1 because noone is going to login to a server named "Akkadius' Server Installer".

You really should change that before you launch if you expect a crowd.

Not sure what issues you are trying to describe.

Are you saying people from the outside cannot connect?

That would tell me it's a port forward issue.

Need clarity.

"When you assume..."

I have 0 or 1 because either I am logged in or I am not.

It's not intended for public access at this time.

I don't know how much clearer I could be than "Should I be using a RoF2 client with this server?" but it doesn't matter anymore, I've found my own way with only a bit of trouble.

Not to mention I answered this question... I said ROF2 works with stock server.
