Default Packetcollector problems. help!

I run packetcollector 0.4 with these parameters;

{ -dbonly -dbh localhost -dbu <username> -dbp <password sql> -dbd eq -dbt items }

and I get;

{ Using ItemFile 'collected_items.eqitems'. }
{ Using database 'eq' at localhost, User: admin, Password: Yes }
{ Uploading items to table: 'items' 18 new items uploaded. }

When I check db.sql the new data is not present. What am I doing wrong? :o

Your db.sql is the source file to make your dbs from by the dev team. The item collector uploads to your current database. So in your case it is uploading the items to your eq database. Check out your items field in eqadmin

I dumped the database and looked at the file in wordpad. The new data isn't getting there; even though packetcollector says it does. eqadmin does not show the new info regardless. Im sure its something simple that i am overlooking.

I also noticed that some items are having the 1st 2 or 3 characters in the names truncated. Any idea on what this is?

I noticed this problem occuring on every merchant invent item.

Look at your current item DB, nice examples in the first lines of it.
