blargh </3..

when i have an irc client running torrents on any machine on my network.. my IRC flips out and i constantly get disconncted/reconnected.. quite annoying.

i think it has to do with that torrents use alot of connections and my router can only have so many connections at once so when its full or whatever.. my net trips out..
it doesnt stop working (the net) but all my messaging programs (aim/irc) always freak out and disconnct/reconnect..
any ideas how i could go about fixing this? i use a linksys router.. Wireless-G VPN Router with RangeBooster.

i tried limiting the max connections in the torrent clients which seemed to help but it still happens sometimes :(

Limit your maximum number of connections but also make sure that you're limiting your maximum upload to a fair bit below what your connection can handle. Saturating your upload with torrents can cause other connections to stall and fail.
