Default Keeps going to Sony login

This is my first attempt so i dont know what to expect. I signed up for the forums and the other thing i had to sign up for. I just bought titatanium and i did not patch it. I changed eqhost.txt file and created a short cut with patchme at the end of the target. when i click on the shortcut i get the usual sony eq login. i tried to login into it with my username and password and of course igot an error timed out. cant think of what else to do. plz help
also the patcher keeps popping up and i keep closing it, should i let it patch. I am sure i have done something wrong just outta options.

Thanks, but i have that. Everthing is exactly how it should be, could it be a router issue, do i have to open a certain port. How come the stupid patcher keeps opening, i thought it would keep trying to patch.

If the patcher pops up, that means your shortcut is directed to everquest.exe instead of eqgame.exe.

C++ is wonderful.

Default should it be going to sonys login

Ok I believe I have done everything correct. Here is what i did:

Installed Titanium (bought today) and did NOT patch.

Changed eqhost.txt to say
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

then created a shortcut of eqgame.exe on my desktop.

right clicked on properties and changed the target field to say:
"C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme

I then double clicked the shortcut i just created, and it takes me through
the regular sony EULA and then there login screen. I then supplied the user
name and password that i gave when i created an LS account. At first it froze up then. I then shut off my firewall and then it said logging in and then i got an error saying to check my internet connection.

I guess my question is "should I be going to the Sony login screen or did I do something wrong.

Thank you

The login screen is the default one from the EQ Titanium login. So don't worry about that. If you need help with a Minilogin I can help, but I'm still stuck trying to create a Server Account. PM me if you want help with Minilogin.
