Default Server install Questions

Hey guys,

Just ran the windows server install package found here: http://wiki.eqemulator.org/p?Akkas_P...ctions-windows

Once the setup is complete I issue the command to exit the cmd prompt. I edit all the loginserver files with my local IP as well as change the server name. After this I ran the server startup.bat file. It started up by loading a cmd prompt window saying file path cannot be found then started loading zones/maps/etc. Once it got to skills the cmd prompt closed and opened C:/Perl folder and nothing else happened.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what went wrong?

Update!

I got the server to work and can find the server on the EQEmulator list. However once I make a character and attempt to zone into the game, my client just lags out and says the server is not responding.

World.exe shows:
Attempting autobootup of cabwest (82:0)
(Crescens) Zoning from character select to cabwest (Zone ID 82: Instance ID 0)

Nothing happens after that on the server side and my client just lags out

You may not have all the required ports forwarded.

I did, I just had to edit my config file. I ended up troubleshooting it on my own. Works perfectly now
