Hmmmmmm, I ran into this thread

Found it something I wanted to add into the server. However I can't seem to find the global_npc.pl script anywhere. I checked in the /eq/quest/template folder however it was not in there.

Is it a added file?? Do I need to update the db?? Did a search for it and didn't seem to come up with anything on the forums.

Not real sure what I am doing, I kind of took over running a server for my brother and just now getting into the nuts and bolts of running it.

It doesn't exist by default. If you want to use it you'll need to create it. The thread you linked shows where.
