If you think that is a powerfull machine, than you have no clue what machines are running at several users to host EQEmu...
btw. a Radeon 9700 is absolutely useless for a server, coz you need performance and speed and not Grafic power...

f.e. i own 3 Machines atm. 1 x 2.8GHz P-IV 2GB Ram 2x120GB HDD as World and MySQL Server

2x Dual Xeon 2.6GHz with 4GB Ram and 4x80GB HDD via Stripeset

My Internet connection is a permanent 10MBit line with no Bandwithlimits.

alright, I got to post to this

1 Why the hell you post the same damn thing in every forum???

2. servers are heavy needed for proccessing speed, ram, and large HD (pageing files) If your planning on running a serious (more than 5 people) server, then you better be willing to invest in a system that you will do nothing else to but plug in and run. It aint for the faint of heart. you need a system with the single purpose of running your server. All you need as far as other accessories then is a internet connection. No cd rom, no video no sound, no floppy drive, no keyboard, no mouse. the only time you connect to it to edit should be through a remote system. And this alone isnt cheap.

Ok ill stop my rant now.. got tired of seeing the exact same post :P

Please dont post the same crap in more than one forum. It just add's to the noob`osity you already laid down by the subject matter.

fyi: Servers that advertise for help in an open market such as this, are thought to be very poorly thought out and looked down apon by people that know what thier doing.
