How far are you getting before it crashes?

Sorry, I meant post EXACTLY what you do to start the program and what steps you go through before it crashes

i.e.:
Quote:
I click on World.exe and 10 seconds later it crashes. I don't even get a chance to start my Zone.exes
or:
Quote:
I start World.exe and my Zone.exes and can login to my server. But when I click on "create character" World.exe crashes!
Something like that.

Can you make it to the Character Creation screen? Can you create your character and see it on the Character Creation Screen? Can you log into Everquest with your character?

Do you click on anything right before it crashes or does it look like a random crash?

I've experienced this problem too,I think is character corruption or something,I deleted all accounts and characters and had no errors.

None that are supported. :(

I'd say try re-downloading the 0.5.6 Binaries from SourceFORGE.

If that doesn't fix the problem then do this:

Code:
If you have Windows 9X/ME
 - Go to "Start" -> "Run. . ."
 - type in "command"
 - in the Command Prompt type "cd \EQEMu"
 - type "World.exe"

If you have Windows NT/2K/XP/2K3
 - Go to "Start" -> "Run. . ."
 - type in "cmd"
 - in the Command Prompt type "cd \EQEMu"
 - type "World.exe"
After World.exe crashes, do the following to copy the output:

Code:
If you have Windows 9X/ME/NT/2K
 - Click and Drag over all the text in the command prompt so that it is highlighted.
 - Right-click so the highlighting dissappears.

If you have Windows XP/2K3
 - Right-click in the Command Prompt window select "Mark"
 - Click and Drag over all the text in the command prompt so that it is highlighted.
 - Right click so the highlighting dissappears.

NOTE: If you're running Win 9X/ME you may not be able to scroll up far enough to get all the output. This is fine as the error responsible for crashing is usually near the bottom.
This will copy the output of World.exe to the clipboard. All you'll need to do then is come here, reply to this post, right-click, and hit "Paste".

If you don't give is all the information we can't help you with the problem. Feel free to blank out any IP addresses and passwords, but (and no offence intended here) just because you don't think anything in the output could help someone here figure out your problem doesn't make it the case.

Remember, the reason you're asking for help here is because you believe that someone on this board knows more about EQEMu than you do.

There are plenty of people here willing to help but we NEED information. Even if it's just so we can say "Yup, you're right. There's nothing wrong here."

PLEASE post the the following if you expect us to help you further:

The output of: World.exe and Zone.exe (we only need the output of one zone. if there's one with more output than the others, use that one) and, if you're using it, MiniLogin.exe.

The contents of: db.ini, LoginServer.ini, eqhost.txt (in your Everquest folder), and if you use MiniLogin.exe we'll need your MiniLoginAccounts.ini.

Also, if you could tell us what all you've sourced into your DB.

Remember: We want to help you, but it'll only work if you give us the info we need.
