Default HELP I want to play

man I installed the program and added the spell files and modified the shortcut so it will not patch but when I go to change the eqhost file it will not let me save it what can I do?

The file may be locked by another program.

Try rebooting your workstation and try modifying the the file before you do anything else.

Trying to run it on Vista right?

Here is my work around.
1. Open EQhost file
2. Modify the file then do a save as to desktop
3. Clost the EQhost file (exit notepad)
4. Delete or rename the EQhost file in your EQ directory
5. Move the EQhost file from your desktop to the EQ directory.

Of course you can always change your permissions or move the client to your public folder Vista is actually quite nice, vast improvement over XP imho so much that I actually use Windows now from time to time.
