Default Client randomly resets spell particle options

I box 42 toons on an rof2 client. I have it edited to be skinny and also stick figures. Once logged on I had to go to options on each toon and change the spell particle effects and such to all be zero and lowering the clip planes and all that jazz to make them run smoother in the background and not bog my computer down. I have an issue where randomly every single toon will revert back to default options and then all spell particles are on full and it bogs my computer down severely. Anyone know of a permanent option to get rid of spell particles and what not? Its random when it does this, sometimes i will go for a month with no issue and then other times it will happen 3 times in a month. Seeing as how I have to actually get on each toon to redo the effects it takes like 2 hours to re adjust everyone, looking to get rid of this thorn in my side

Check your eqclient.ini for these lines:
Code:
ShowSpellEffects=1
SpellParticleDensity=0.000000
SpellParticleNearClipPlane=8.000000
SpellParticleCastFilter=24
Post what those settings are. Sounds like having 42 clients running at once and trying to save the settings on all of them is causing an issue.

You can use this to turn off spell effects:
Code:
/showspelleffects off

Could he run his 'play' client from a second install so the two configurations types aren't trying to use the same .ini file?

..Or is this literally a collision issue?
