Default about chr wld files

what are in chr. wld files ???
I tried to read those wld files, and it failed on the 0x36 fragment that seems different thant objects and zone 0x36 fragments


where are located monsters models ? and what s the link between those models and the npcs exactly ? is it the race value ?

All models have a short form associated with them (like TRE for treants). The clients most likely has an internal list to link those with the race numbers.

chr wld files "start" with 0x14 fragments, which will then lead you to all the other fragments (13,12,11,10,2d,36, etc...)

Yeah, looks like it, but that shouldn't be too hard. Just tedious, since you have to go through all the 350+ models in the list and find the respective three letter name for it in the char files.

And when you have done this list, post it here, this way, all will have a list to do forceload models ;p

Im not an expert like Mongrel / WindCatcher, but first time, i got the same reaction as you "Why the hell those model parts are in this zone file ?!" ... i found maybe an explication, maybe its not the right one, but i think its because those parts are "global models" part ( Cazic is global model), for strange reasons, maybe soe load those parts into the zones.
