Default Portable EQ

first of all Happy New year 2009

i know i am lazzy but that could be very usefull

EQ installation can be move to 1 place to an other but for the server any of you could make a package for a portable LAN server ?

something like : ok unzip your file launche start and have fun with your EQ client now

i know some portable server apache / mysql ... etc so i imagine that could be done

Nice thing about Leslamarch's install kit is, you don't need to have any mastery's in MySql, Perl, or anything else - infact, you don't even need to know what mySql or Perl means! All you need to know is how to kill those nasty Bats, and Orcs
I was just thinking when I first started in this scene, I knew a little about Perl (had to for my Spamassassin), and I knew MySql was for a database, but Wtf was that?

OKi Doki so for this new year i got register on AXforum downloaded the files and install them all in my portable folder (with the maps server side) and launch it ....
MEOWww file access error so i get back with the default dolder place

now thats Working fine really thats cool package you really did awesome work

may i just put a 99% as you Must install in the default folder

now geting back the package i might a version issue due to perl error on PeQ db


Thanks allot all now i have my self server and having LOTS fun
i also keep on public server .... seeing other people is also lots fun

Your right it is very dependent on the default directory, also download the latest repack to fix the perl problem...
