Default Unable to see server list

I've been browsing the forums/faq section for several hours. My issue is that I can log into the login server, but once connected, there are no world servers in the main window. I've tried port forwarding, straight up turning off my firewall (we don't use a router here). I've tried all of the vista/dual-core fixes. I'm at my wits end, I've found other threads on the forum where people have similar problems, but not found anything that helps. I've tried to login to the server at least 10 times today, never getting any server list. This computer is pretty sucky, but I don't honestly see that impacting me seeing the servers. It's a Gateway GT5428. Anyone got any ideas?

Jeez, been a member for 6 years and this is my first post... I feel like a noob.

Have you ever been able to see it, or is this your first time trying on that PC/Installation? Are you sure you are using Titanium? Do you have a firewall on?

I would maybe try reinstalling a legal unpatched copy of Titanium and see if it will make any difference. It could be some other settings too, so maybe just clearing out your eqclient.ini would fix it, I dunno.

This is a fresh install, first time trying to run it on this machine. I didn't patch the game, but I will give reinstalling a shot. I've tried running with the firewall on and off, to no avail. I'll give eqclient a shot and get back to you.

Edit: eqclient didn't help.

If you are actually getting logged into the server selection screen, that rules out network issues. You would at least see them if you can login successfully. Sounds like your running the wrong client. Titanium?

That's what the box says. Running titanium unpatched, I should be able to see a server at least.

Yep, having the same problem. In my case, though, I installed titanium on my laptop at my brother's house and ran it once to make sure it worked. It worked on my brothers internet connection etc. The next day when I got back to my apartment and used a different internet connection I didn't see any servers. I'm thinking some port here is being blocked on the network I'm using that's interfering with my seeing servers. But, since it's the internet provided by the apartment I'm not the admin and can't readily change it. Got any suggestions?

If they have a proxy set up (which many shared connections do), then your only real option is to request that they open port 5998 so you can use it.

I do get the issue where no servers show up on the list from time to time, but it only happens when my computer is processing something else that is using alot of system resources. So, if you are running other applications at the same time (including virus scanners), you might want to turn them off or close them and see if that helps.

It did work for the first day or two i had it installed. At first it didnt, then i restarted comp and it did, and it did for a little while 1 - 2 days. Now it wont work, firewall is off and nothing major running in background. Dont think it is a network issue cause 2 other comps see list just find.

Well - I assumed that having my windows firewall off would allow the program to access the port, but it may have not. I found this online http://www.hackernotcracker.com/2006...indows-xp.html, and manually added everquest to my expectations, and it worked. I'll let you know if it stays working.
