Default Zone dependent server kick

After moving my server back to the public login, rebooting the server, and associating previous characters with new public accounts, I was unable to get past the character screen on any accounts with associated characters. I came to find out that I could login with a new character and eventually tried changing the zone an existing character was in from BoT to lower guk and was able to login without a problem.

I've had to do this with all characters that were logged in BoT, and one character that crashed in MPG. Once they are moved, they are able to login and play in all zones without any problems (including the ones that won't load from char select).

They get a "Client has been disconnected" error following the character select screen. No errors in the logs. They immediately jump from zone loads to removing connection ~10 seconds later. Timeout options have been set to allow for much longer.

Not sure if this is specific to these two zones or if I'll keep seeing this in a lot of zones, but it'll become a pain to keep moving characters if it is recurs a lot.

Thoughts anyone?

I'm not sure what your actual problem is, but if you are needing to move all characters at once, I am sure you could do it with a simple mysql query. If you think you are going to have to keep moving characters that go to BoT, then you can just shut the zone down and look at your logs until you figure out what is causing the problem. You probably have a bad quest file in there that is crashing the zone or something. You can also setup the PEQ character mover tool if their website comes back up so you can download it. It is a webpage that players can use to move their character to a default zone you chose. It is a handy tool by any means, since players can fix most of their issues like being stuck on their own even if there are no GMs around.

Default Possibly solved and thank you

The character move tool sounds like what I'd be looking for to keep me out of the loop.

Upon looking further I found that BoT had a zone flag on it (which the character did not have) and I had zoned in and camped out with the gm flag during testing. MPG had a minstatus, similar story.

The tool should be helpful for other scenarios. Thanks for the help.
