Default Gender? Does it really matter?

Now that I conned you into reading this thread, your arse is mine, baby!

Just kidding.. And my question isn't what you may have thought, but rather I was wondering if the gender column in the npc_types table really does anything int he game.. I mean, does setting this column turn a orc centurian into a lap dancer or something freakish like that?

You have male NPC's female NPC's then ones that dont have a gender (like blobs)

and yes most NPC's require the correct gender or it will display a bald human.

figures, 3 seconds after I pressed the "submit" button, my mind wandered away from the image of the lap dancing orc centurion and turned to the character select screen and then I realized I might have just foudn my own answer... Does the gender column tell the emulator to dish up a male or female version of the same model, if one is available, based on this?
