Default GM Possession

Way back in the day, GMs could possess NPCs and control them. Sony tested this ability with players on the test server by letting them possess random low level monsters. This later became the shroud and monster mission systems.

We need to implement this system first only for GMs as a command they can use while targeting a mob and then later for players so we can correctly use the shroud and monster-mission systems. I'm fairly certain that both actions would use rather similar methods. Each time someone changed form like that on Live into an actual different race, the account always went to a loading screen as the server unloaded the player's character and loaded up the selected creature for the player to control.

Spells worked as per normal and special abilities came up in the actions window. Enabling this system would create a vast wealth of potential for the custom servers and would allow servers like PEQ to enable the shroud system and monster missions.

It's a valuable resource I think the devs should work on when they like.

Imagine a server populated by nothing but monsters and fighting against the evil, encroaching forces of Norrath. A server on which everyone plays a goblin or a dragon or a gnoll or what have you. Would be very fun.
