Default no zone in point

I can't zone from east commons to nektulos (i come to a dead end) and there are missing portals from PoK for rathe mountains and crescent reach which is particularly bad as i think cres reach is my home aand i was hopig to get adventurers stone. Is this a problem with my underfoot client? I've tried following http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...ssingFilesList

and created a directory oldfiles which i populated by the batch file below, using the SoF and titanium clients. I wasn't sure if this was the best method?

I don't have #zone access to test if that works.

Can anyone advise me?

Also i thought there was a way to compact posts. I have used the Code tags, but i thought there was a method for folding it up unless people wanted to see it?

Code:
copy freportw.xmi oldfiles
copy nro.xmi oldfiles
copy nro2_chr.s3d oldfiles

If this isn't your own server, then you may need to take this issue up with the people who run the server you are trying to play on. Zone points depend on which client version you are running, which version of those zones you are in and going to, and whether or not the dev(s) of the server used the client version bitmask field for the zone point properly.

I found it happened on two different servers? I would love to test it on my own but i cannot get it working, details posted elsewhere.

Client: Underfoot

using nektulosa.eqg and i can see nektulos_obj1.eqg if that's relevant?
I can see commonlands.eqg and oldcommons.eqg but nothing for ecommons* ... despite the fact I am in the east commonlands and can zone into west commonlands, freeport etc.

If you feel this is a server specific problem i'll take it up with their admins but it has the feel of a client side problem. I might log in to EZserver and give it a go, i should be able to survive the run and i haven't tried that one.

Thanks for your help!

By the way, would the batch file i created be useful to others or do the files need to be carefully examine for file size etc?? It's a shame it's not possible to create a bundle of the missing files, but i'm guessing that's a legal issue.

You cannot currently zone into or out of the new Nektulos on PEQ with the UF client. You can however port into it, but you would not be able to zone out again.

There is not problem with files your files.

Any server using the PEQ DB unmodified will thus also not be able to zone into the new Nektulos. The client version mask thing for the zone points SHOULD be working for UF but it isn't. It does work with SoD.

Your other issues like the stones in PoK are not necessarily OLD files you may need a source newer than SoF for them never tested with SoF files as I avoided that client.

I recently fixed an issue somewhat similar on my server this week.

http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=33387

Not saying it is the same thing, but it could be.

My test server also has the same problem as PEQ and I have your solution in my database, so not the same issue unfortunately.

I just ported from East Commonlands to Nektulos and back with no issues, this was porting to the new Nektulos. I am using UF client. I know it can be done, because it is working on mine. I fought with this a while, making map files, small changes here and there. There were also missing files I had to pull over from Titanium.

porting works fine, it is zoning normally that fails.

Port in and try to zone to LS, EC, or Neriak = fail

Well that is what I meant, not porting but zoning. I physically ran from east commons to nektulos, then neriak to nektulos (v3) or whatever revision the new one is.

Still broke on PEQ, I just logged in a toon and ran from PoK to Nektulos and I ran all the way to the end of the passage instead of getting zoned to Nektulos.

What is the end goal ? Are you wanting to play on your own server and have it work, or are you wanting to play on PEQ and it work ?

I play on PEQ. I only tinker with my server to test things to submit for fixes. I'm admittedly not very good with C++ or the quest syntax yet, but I'm working on it.

Well you may would want to ask some of the other players on general chat then, in-game. Ask if anyone else is having zoning problems between those zones and what client they are using. You may just be missing your emitter files or something else. The UF client was missing files from the get go.
