Default Anyone with LIVE access?

Could someone with LIVE access verify when npcs and pets start to Dual Wield?

Its important to resolve this issue for the Emu, as started in this topic:

http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28664

I with 100% certainty remember necro pets got DW at lev 24.
And most likely Mage and BST pets as well.
And so does all war/rng/rog/mnk npcs.

On Emu all npc and pets do NOT get get DW until lev 45 (your pet/npc will wield the 2nd weapon, but will NOT actually swing it)
We need to get this verified, so it can be corrected.

Sorry, I play a ranger on live. Try the Mage or Necro class forums. They should have an answer for you.

Level 29 Spell for Necros was the Dual Wield. Summon Dead I believe.

Necro pets dual wield at 29+ Summon Dead and up.
BL's pets dual wield 39+ Spirit of Yekan and up
Shaman pets dual wield 61+ True Spirit and up
Magician pets I'm not sure but it's early 14/16 I haven't played a magician.

First shaman pet is at level 32 and is signifigantly lower level then the caster. It's not till the 61 pet which is a 58 war they start to con db to the caster. The 61 pet has the /shield ability can bash, kick, dual wield and enrages.

in other words its based on lev of the pet itself, not of the level when caster gets the pet. And most likely that lev is the same for all pets of the same class.

The reason the various pets aquire the dual wield skill at different levels I would guess was a form of balancing. But then again sony's logic is kinda off center to begin with. As far as npc's go, their ability to dual wield doesnt seem to apply to the rules governing pets. Their abilities are not directly a reflection of player classes. Well they are naturally but I guess I mean the abilities are available to them earlier it seems.

yes that is exactly the kind of prove I am looking for.
Currently on Emu all npcs (and pets) are coded NOT to dual wield until lev 45, which is obviously wrong. If we can collect some hard info from LIVE then our devs can change the code to the proper form

I'll see what info I can gather. Just a thought though personally I think the standard rules should apply for all player classes as well as pets and npc's.

A monk pet, npc or player gets dual wield at level 1
A rogue, warrior pet, npc or player gets it at level 13
A ranger, bard pet, npc or player gets it at level 17.

Realistically I dont see a huge unbalancing, lower level players, npcs and pets dont deal massive damage and as the levels increase so does the damage, regardless of dual wield so it wouldn't be an issue then.

For the true "live like" I agree it should be as it is on live. Just my two-cents.

I do know you can give a wizard npc a 2-hand sword and they'll "slash" you.
I'll give various npc levels dual weapons and see if their off hands swing.

those are levels of spells to summon those pets, not pets themselves, right?
So the actual levels are in fact lower (at least for necro that is)
