Favorite Server Type

what do you mean by Optional pvp? Fighting at arenas or handing in your tome?

A*, that's an excellent question. Too bad I had already voted. In case it clarifies my vote, I'm a big fan of PvP being part of the world, but only for those that want to experience it. So I took it to mean both, the turning in of the book to the PoD or the milling around in the arenas across Norrath.

Requried PvP would be something like open pvp in every zone except certain non-combat zones.

Optional PvP would be like, maybe something where only certain zones are non-pvp and certain ones are pvp, or stuff like that.

I voted for optional pvp....I would vote for all out pvp, but I don't think the +/- 5 levels is fair...now if it was like your level and higher (of course if you're attacked by a lower level all's fair), or if they made it like +/- 2 levels (giving you a 5 level spread) my vote would be different

I voted PvP Required, just because my favorite servers in the past have been that way, though these tend to be terribly done. That said, well done, they are my favorite. On live, I think of my golden age of EQ as that first year of SZ. And then later on, the Lucid Vision server (if kind of a step brother to EQEmu) was a lot of fun. Typically, PvE servers tend to be more stable and last longer.
