Default Can't find...

I can't find where you would get the model files for certain NPC models. Like I'd like to move Quarms model from potimeB to potimeA for an event I'm writing. Also would like to move a few other models there. WHere are these models located? I've looked in every folder and can't find them. Or is it even possible to move model files from one zone to another?

Check out the zonename_chr.txt files in the client dir. In order for your visitors to see your new models, you need to create a client patch they must install to update their clients. There might be other ways to do this, but this is what I've seen people do.

The models are cryptic as hell, too. Not sure where to get those, besides that Lexicon I think was floating around here somewhere with some hints in it. But you might be able to look in potimeb_chr.txt and see the model you need.

You can use a program like S3d Spy to open up a zone file and add the appropriate model reference in the _chr file.

The model names are normally something like snk,snk or brv,brv_chr

Add them and you should be set.

Ok, so then theres no way to not have to supply a client patch for them to update it?

Correct. How would their client know to load the models unless you tell it to? It's not that big a deal, people interested in your server usually have no problem patching. Plus, the worst thing that will happen is large, bald humans running around everywhere.
