Default Titanium AA Tabs bug

I hope I am reporting this in the appropriate forum.

I am using compiled source (last change log entry 7/22/15) with database from 2/13/15. The AA tabs are not populating correctly in Titanium. I used the wiki and tried sorting the AAs using the 'type' column in altadv_vars, but they won't budge. I am stuck with four tabs, and I can't seem to get the veteran AAs back under the veteran tab.

I loaded up my other server and did some database manipulating and the type parameter in altadv_vars worked fine.

Any other Titanium users encountered this?

Hmm.

It looks like Source/utils/sql/git/required/2015_07_02_aa_rework.sql completely replaced the various aa database tables.

If you're using a newer source, then you'll have the auto-db-patcher in place, so it would have gone through and run all of the required .sql updates for you, including the aa revamp one.

It's possible the revamp is not fully compatible with Titanium. If you have a backup, you could try restoring the aa tables to test it, though I couldn't say how well the new source will work with old aa tables.

Likely not at all if there were significant structural changes, which would be the kind of thing to warrant such a required revamp .sql patch.

Thanks, Shendare!

I deleted the db_version table so the auto-updater would check the db for missing SQLs. It is up-to-date. It seems like it may be an issue with the source that will hopefully get resolved in time.

I really love that auto-updater!

The AA system was completely revamped. The decision to code towards SoF+ AA was made because SoF+ is the most used clients. (p99 doesn't count)

They made -so- many changes to the way things work by the time of the SoF client that I can see Titanium support gradually falling away.

Availability aside, not a moment too soon. Titanium was awesome, but we're so far removed from a "classic" experience now (Titanium didn't even support dropped coin and the other classic nostalia) it's just an aging dog.

I see... I didn't know it was intentional.

So from here on out, developement is going to be focused exclusively on SoF+? Does Titanium have a shelf life?

I can see that. As more clients get added to the Emu, trying to iron out functionality on all of them can turn into quiet a workload.

Thanks for all the responses!

This specific instance was because it needed to be rewritten and we had raw data collected for all classes at least to level 85. So a decision had to be made. On the plus side, the AA data is structured in a more straight forward way so custom AAs should be easier.
