noob here. can't login in game

hey, i'm fairly sure i performed all that was required of me, short of the Step 4: EQ Host File set up because i'm oddly barred from doing so - it literally says i'm not allowed to modify the text.

but anyway, i have a login server username and password for this site. do i use those to login in game? i'm butting up against this last wall and i'm sure there is another thread explaining all of this noob stuff. just thought i'd quickly defer to anyone listening here as i'm eager to play this game. its been too long!

The eqhosts.txt file is what tells your everquest client which login server to log into. An Eqemulator login wont get you very far when trying to connect to Daybreaks servers.

Rightclick the eqhosts.txt file, go to properties. Ensure that it is not set to read only, then try step 4 again. If that works you should be sorted.
