Default DB editors

Why do editors require apache, php, or anything else for that matter? Why not a single, standalone editor that just works without http, without internet, ect.. just click the .exe tell it where sql is, tell it the login in name and password and the database name, and it works.

Guess what I'm asking for is a custom SQL editor like Novicat, or Heidisql, but specifically for the PEQ database. Does such a thing exist?

Just make sure you find the hex edited version (or hex edit it yourself) that KinglyKrab and I believe Scropious2k released somewhere here on the forums not too awfully long ago.

Provocating,
Checked out George's Tools site. Only thing I saw there was Database Editing Tool Suite but it hasn't been updated since 2014. Does it still work with the latest PEQ database and/or Akka's new windows server install? Looks promising but I don't want to delete everything and reinstall for a third time because it messed something up.

Not all editors require those items, but those have specific use. For example, if you have a remote server, most likely you have a web stack running so why not administer from the same machine using available resources?
