Default Access Violation

At random times, I get this error and have to force quit other wise it just loops with the error...

Code:
Access Violation at address 00448D64 in module 'OpenZone.exe'. Read of address 00000040.
That is all that I get on the error, it never closes out, or does anything besides pop up that error message.

I just got this message also.

Got it while going through the tutorial in the help file. Just after I added the water.

My OS is: Windows Vista Ultimate x64 edition (Dont laugh, I love graphics and Vista has the pretty UI)

I been getting this error with OpenZone 8.6/Windows 7 Home Premium, Any fixes?

Mine is Access Violation at address 0040946D in module 'OpenZone.exe'. Write of address 005E7080.

I made a thing of water and that was it and tried to render it to .S3d or whatever and this error happens and crashes OZ.

update: used a virtual machine and it worked - havent tested the zone i made yet (just water) but i do know that i didnt get the error...
I hope to find a windows 7 fix as the VM used windows XP pro.
