Default Windows 8 Pro

Can anyone foresee any problems making a windows server under the Windows 8 pro OS? Has anyone done this successfully yet and have any tips?

I am pretty sure I have seen a few posts that people were successful in doing it with no special issues. Have you tried yet? I think it should be the same as most other Windows server setups. Keep in mind that none of the current guides are 100% accurate right now, as the addition of cmake hasn't been accounted for in the existing guides yet. But you can reference the cmake guide in the wiki for that part and continue with the other guides from there for the most part. The files created from compiling will be in a different location than what the guides mentions though, but they are all still there.

I just finished updating the Windows Server setup guide on the Wiki: http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...rverSetupGuide which covers CMake.

In updating the guide I created a VM running Windows 8 Release Preview to test everything out, so I know EQEmu works with that and others have posted that they have no problem with 8.

On a similar thread/note; Does anyone know if setting up a private server on Windows Home Server 11 cause any issues? I've always been a little curious about this server.
