I am useing mysql Server 5.0

and have tried the following:

ActivePerl-5.8.9.827-MSWin32-x86-291969

ActivePerl-5.10.1.1007-MSWin32-x86-291969 with the files listed above

and can not find 5.8.8 or a 5.8.9.825 like the the tutorials said.

Keep getting perl58.dll error message.

before when i was able to log into world i used rev 1410 and such and perl 5.10.1.1007
and was at least able to get in the game, but was told to get updated revs to fix problems i was haveing
. let me know what perl, mysql, and rev i should be useing as of todays date. Also working links to the correct
files so i can download cause the links for like perl 5.8.9.825 doesnt work and when i search
perl site they have the .827 one and 5.10.1.1007 not older ones

i am sitting at mcdonalds right now waiting for reply it is currently 7:27pm CST, i will be here for about 1 hour waiting
as internet is out around my place do to bad box

I am currently using Activeperl 5.10.1.1007 and MySQL 5.1. It works fine for me. I heard that if you had installed the earlier version of activeperl and you want to uninstall it. It does not uninstall completely. You'll have to manually delete it out from regedit. have to be careful when you mess with regedit. Anyway, not sure about the perl58.dll error. I have not run across that problem. Did you follow the direction carefully as suggested in http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka.php?wakka=VS2008 ?

What i ended up doing was started over. I used 827 and i did not do ppm install or ppm install DBI everything seems to work fine i did have to uninstall. and delete perl folder alltogether I rebooted then started all over the only error i get now is the login server error 10061 which i am about to research. Im sure mini login would work just fine but i want to use Login server

Does the error say anything else with it other than just a number? Most likely the issue you are having is due to your config file being incorrect as far as the IPs for the local stuff, or you have a port blocking issue from your router or firewall.
