Default Logging Revamp

I read the wiki on the logging system revamp and although it goes through the command line well and how to change it, nothing on the log.ini. Is setting things though the log.ini file now deprecated? If we change logging levels via gm commands does it stick through a reboot? These things are not that clear in the wiki. Since there is a table in the database now I guess it goes that via command line we can change these things and they will survive a reboot?

I found that changing the settings in game with #logs set did not save them if you closed your client. So...I went into the logsys_categories table in the DB and manually set logging to the items I needed. Works fine for me now, no issues.

The defaults are in the database..any command line changes only affect the zone instance for the life of the instance.

I thought you could set the logging via command line?

'#logs set 36 1' for example

Well you can, we are just making a notation that it does not stick. You still need to change it in the DB so it survives a reboot.
