Question All mobs are illegal target in Commonlands?

Hi,

I think I accidentally made all the mobs in the Commonlands illegal targets, neither my test characters will attack (illegal target responses in client message box) and I'm not getting any aggro either. I'm using the Secrets of Faydwer client.

Here's a link to a workbook I dumped a few tables I think are related to the issue.

Does anything stand out that I should change to fix this?

Thanks!

(I didn't see a similar problem on the threads yet, let me know if this should really be merged or solution to a similar problem was discussed already.)

If you're not in a server-supported version of the zone, you will get that behavior.

Default Server Supported?

So is that a client issue, or is that being caused by something like a ruleset being set up to certain expansions and this zone actually being above its ruleset's limit?

Thanks!

I think it's more of an issue of how you arrive there.

Using #zone tends to put you in the wrong instance and there may not be scripts for those zones to redirect you.

Haven't really encountered that issue much myself..but, I haven't actually played in over two years...

There are more content knowledgeable people out there, though. Just keep an eye out for posts.

Seems to happen even when I walk into the zones from adjacent zones that work.

Something to try is look at your zone table and make sure the cancombat field is set to 1 for the zone you are having trouble with. I think some of the zones are set to 0 by default which can cause what you are describing.
