Default Need help please

I installed EQ titanium and did everything the guide said to do but when I start the game using the eqgame.exe file I get a error that says eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and must shut down. I had no previous EQ files on my hard drive before the titanium install nor did I patch to live. Me and my husband did exact same thing and his works. Any ideas?

If it is crashing before even opening to the login screen, it could be one of many things. The FAQ in my sig might have a couple of suggestions to try for that. I would check the dual-core stuff and maybe resolutions as well. Also, EQ is a memory hog, so if you don't have much RAM on that PC, try to make sure you have EQ turned down to use low settings and try disabling the luclin character models from the options menu. If you can't even get to the options menu, then maybe try closing down other programs you might have running, like firefox/IE.

I have tried everything under the Duel Core fixes and nothing has worked although I haven't been able to get the Runfirst program to work properly. I unzipped it into my EQ folder than created the shortcut to my desktop and changed the path as instructed but when I double click on it it a little window kinda flashes and goes away real fast, can't even read what it says, it looks like a command windown cause it has the black background. Any thoughts cause I know nothing about this program.

Try dropping your desktop resolution to 1024x768 - i had a similar problem when i was running 1900x1200, eqgame would crash. dropped to 10x7 and it worked without a problem.

First of all make sure dirrectx is up-to-date. Secondly, you're gonna have to edit your eqclient.ini. Change the resolution in that file to something standard but small like 800X600. Save it and start up EQ and you should be good
