A Quiet Place - Classic (Re-Opened)

Server Features:

We aim to deliver the Classic content with a little twist. This is the perfect server to play on as an EQ vet if you have a job, wife, kids. Also perfect for those of you that have friends that want to play classic EQ with you but are used to modern conveniences of new MMOs. Please provide any feedback and bugs so that we can deliver a quality experience for our player-base.

NO EQ Hacks (ShowEQ, MQ) ECT

The Client we support is Titanium other clients will have some issues
Please download the spells_us.txt file to go along with our server
We use old Nektulos, Lavastorm, and Arena zone files
Starting Level 40
Level cap 51
2x exp
Classic Content (Some custom raid content in line with classic)
Start with Basic Gear
Players have Trade skills set to 200 to craft their own gear
AA's can be gained starting at level 51
No corpse runs

Kunark open
Level cap raised to 60

Velious Open
Maybe Custom content after Sleeper awakened

Well Almost Re-opened. We are moving the files from one machine to another.
A Quiet Place - Classic
Will appear on the server select in about a day or so. See you all in game soon!

We updated the DB and had some minor issues. Give it a day or 2 and we should be 100% ready to go. So if you can for the time being hold off on connecting.

The goal is NOT soloable, but to allow players in much smaller groups tackle classic content. Being level 51 for classic content + having access to AA's will help bridge the gap. We re-made Older bosses like Inny and CT to be their classic counter part. We ran the server a while ago and it was met with great reviews.
We also added some non classic group buffs for spells as well. To make raid buffing much faster. Along with a lot of other tweeks to add some Quality of life. We removed corpse runs but kept exp loss on death to give people the freedom to try new things and speed up raid wipe tipes.

We had to put the server on hold for a few days while we figured out our starting script that enabled starter gear and skills. We are working as much as we can on it given the holiday weekend.

you seem to be setting all skills to 200 upon first login that's gonna make every class basically warrior-tier in terms of mitigation and shit.. monks will never fail fd, etc..

should use this since it checks to see if a player at that level can even attain that skill level

There are Skill caps for each Class, your skill cap will not go past what your classes max skill is.

We will clean the command up in the future. Thank you much for this link

the skill caps don't matter if you're forcing them through that script its the same as the #setallskills command.

however if you do plan to fix this with the above script make sure all existing chars get their skills set to 0 before they're hit with this or all old characters pre-fix will be substantially more powerful than all new chars.
