Default Cannot get the game to start. Please help.

I have a feeling that I did something wrong. Please tell me what it is that I need to do.

So it's like this.

First of all, I have had a LS account for years, I just haven't touched it in about 2 years. I assume that it's still active.

Anyways, I installed Titanum, and immediately afterward I went straight into the Everquest folder, found the EQHost.TXT file, and copied the information the Play guide says to do, and pasted it into the text document:

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

And I right clicked on the EQGame file, created a shortcut, put it on the desktop, and found the target section, and added the following, with a space before the word:

patchme

With that, I double clicked EQgame, and got the following error:

Could not establish a connection.
Please check your network connection
or contact(a sony email address.)

I'm lost at this point. What did I do wrong?

Thank you for your time.

edit: Oh, and btw, if it matters, I'm on windows xp.
