Im having some serious server issues..If anyone could help,ive made a post in Support Window servers section,

Everythings messed up.. But i can log in=)

well, the binarys are still crashing on me : /. I won't be able to touch this again though for a few days.

Default opcode mismatch

The client update opcode mismatch happens when I go to attack a mob and it tells me too far away from target. Can that be ignored?

Default Zone Bootup Failed - New Server with 0.6.2

Hi,

I am new to the EQEmu project and have been working on a 0.6.2 server setup. I get World to load and my Minilogin shows the world connection. When I try to load a zone I get: [Error] Zone Bootup FAILED!

I think it might be related to a Pearl Warning I get: [Debug] Warning: Perl dosub called for my_eval when perl is allready in use.

Not totally sure if this is new to 0.6.2 or not. But if anyone has any thoughts for me to try I need to suggestions.

btw my server is running on a Linux platform.

ex. woodelf druid starting in kelethin. i can attack my druid master and get killed. when i am reloaded from death i can do it again, but if i make myself invulnerable attack druid master walk out of the druid guild (out of the starting bind point) go all the way to crushbone entrance on my client screen i am at crushbone but to the server i am still standing at druid guild at start point. At crushbone i can cast a spell on to my druid master and i get the message of him resisting that spell and remove invul and he lays the smack down on to me. so i just thought maybe those opcodes had something to do with the server not picking up the movement of the characters.

he's right... it does make sense to me that the OP_clientupdate would have something to do with updating the server that the client has issued movement commands for the character. I too have this problem and thats why I'm sticking to scorpious2k... Only true stable server that pretty much up to date with live except for the custom thingy's... aa's work and pretty much everything else works.... yall should check it out... it runs off of 5.7dr2 and they keep it that way to keep it stable

Default unable to attack

I've got a server up running the newest binarys with the new minilogin, i'm still testing but i have one problem, i can't attack stuff.

I can kill things using the castspell # but not run up to them and swack them.

The search is not being nice to me atm, lol

I know i read of this problem somewhere, but i can't seem to find it.

Anyone want to point me in the right direction or tell me how to fix the unable to attack?

It just keeps saying , "Your target is to far away, get closer"

Did anyone actually figure this one out? I'm still running into these errors when World.exe fires up.

Also I've been looking at the "Target out of range" problem associate with the OP_clientupdate error. If I zone into a zone and move 50 feet away.. target a mob and use '#damage 1' the mob runs to the original zone in location and starts attacking. Even though I'm nowhere near that location, I'm still getting hit and am watching this mob attack what appears to be nothing.

Having the same problem here using the latest binarys and velios rc1 database, all sourced fine. Still also having those missnig opcodes as well. anyone have any ideas?

with those missing opcodes in world i put 0x0000 on them like someone else said in another post but when i get to the server select screen it says i own 29 of 29 expansions and server status is 0.

And the use of EQ without being able to kill mobs and quests working a 10th of the time when you log in is what? Version 6.0 DR3 is a stable version with tradeskills , fishing , Augments and AA's working. Perhaps we went to far?

Scorp is wise for not trying to keep up with all the versions to lose all the work he has done for the latest and ....greatest??

Well I am going to take a clue from him and stick with the 6.0 I,m working on and have gotten many live quests finished with , Once I get my server back online hopefully there will still be a LoginServer to support it .
