Default ROF2 Spell effects not showing

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out to solve this problem.

I am trying to use ROF2 client and any server that requires me to change the spells_us file it no longer shows spell effects or even sounds for that matter.

Leaving the original spells_us keeps spell particles perfectly fine, but the moment I change the spells_us file they are gone.

I have tried replacing spellsnew.edd and spellsnew.eff along with a bunch of other files that I had seen suggested in other threads with UF client ones but still nothing.

I used the /shows and /part command turning them both on and high and still nothing.

Can anyone please lend a hand on this issue it's really getting under my skin.

When there are spells that exist above ID 45,000 for some reason spells stop showing particle effects.

I deleted all spells over 44k ID, problem solved

RoF/RoF2 cannot have spells higher than 45k for their ID. They don't allocate enough space for an ID that high and it causes issues with the client.

I assume the limits are also true for other clients (which you can find on the wiki)

I will give this a shot.

Thanks

Edit: Did this by removing two spells that were ID 45,000 and it worked.
Thank you very very much

Are you taking about the client spells_us.txt ?
My rof2 client is using my server spells 39145 is max.
But the RoF2 does still not show effects, with all that
turned on in client as well.

A player on my server just helped figure out something for the rof2 spell file used.
Had to delete anything past ID of 42602 (Focus Tier 1) and the spell effects show
up great now. (But this could be something specific to my server only) Not sure.
