Default potential copyright law changes
Copyright laws may soon change a bit in regard to older games:

technically eq isn't "abandoned", but this article shows a logical trend at the very least. This would apply to SWG emu servers though. (never played that one, i was on EQ/eq2/wow and then some f2p junk that's really just pay for play at an even higher cost)
