And we broke this so soon by moving to git! I'll see if we can't get it updated again post haste.

I followed this to the letter but was not successful.

The first thing i noticed was that there was no folder worldui as there should be.

I can see the server, login, create character then it errors out.

I can also view data in the database connect etc.

Reading the last post.. Am I to understand that this guide does not work at this time?

That is correct, it is not accurate due to the changes made, just yesterday I believe. Git has now been deployed.

the guide should still be accurate for people who are using svn, as that repository still exists. it just won't be as up-to-date as the git repository. worldui is @ utils/defaults/worldui. at to your other issues, post detailed information as to the errors you receive and your log files, where applicable

Good news.. I re-did the git clone, cmake, build stuff and I no longer crash .. I read another post where the same thing was happening and a fix was pushed. It appears that my timing was just off by a few minutes on the initial attempt. now to play test etc ..

Thanks for the replies all.

Meh, my bad, I've been off SVN for over a week (hadn't a need to get the latest) and only just got it today via git -- that combined with "moved" as told here: http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36507

I thought that to mean, "moved" as is SVN is no more. Sorry about that. That said, I'd recommend against the SVN method, since it wont contain the newest submits/changes, etc. let it die in a fire. :p The more I read of git the more I like it.

Is it still required to copy the spells_us.txt file over to the server directory? I did not see it in the guide.

No not with this method that I can find. I think the files are compiled with the server.
