Removed all buffs from players in the database since older buffs that don't exist anymore were causing major crashes when getting buffed with a newer spell.

The EQemu Launcher now properly works with Varlyndria: Ascension.
Please make sure to use this version of it:

Server is coming back up in a few minutes.


• Fixed Bind Points - Players can now bind anywhere aside from the PVP zones.
• Removed a script that was causing massive lag when players joined the server. This also lead to players not
leveling up to 70 as they should when entering the server.
• Removed all buffs from all characters in the database. Older buffs were causing severe crashes when combined
with almost any buff spell that exists.
• Added the Witch Doctor lieutenant back in the starting area, he was accidentally removed.
• Fixed Nexxrn's augment to not have augment slots.
• Fixed the Deathguard path quest.
• Fixed the EQemu Launcher - Please use this version:

• Removed Booming Voice line from database. It's not needed anymore.
• Guards can no longer be targeted or accidentally aggroed with AoE.
• Fixed the Epic 1: Soulrager's Claw of Ghostly Force to be Beastlord only.
• Donator Dice can be used by all classes now instead of just casters. This was not intentional.
• Donator: Symbol of Planar heroes can now be used by all classes and not just casters. This was not intentional.
• Players will no longer infinite zone loop at the Permafrost Entrance.

Not sure what's going on, however:
As of 21:19 CST

70% of the time I crash pre-character select.
25% of the time I crash at character select.
I did get into game once, however, crashed as soon as I moved.

Hope this helps.

Using the launcher as well.

FYI The issue I'm seeing with Globalload is a memory problem. The process size for eqgame.exe is hitting the 1.8gb mark once char is in world. Then when the client zones it breaks the 2GB limit and the process crashes. If I turn off all the luclin models it keeps it under 2GB and I can zone ok.

Are all the 800 global load entries necessary? Perhaps have a cut down version for SOD users :)

Server is still pretty unplayable for me. Shadowknight spells still crashing client upon casting, problems attempting to get back online.

yeah lag monster is back again, not even 50 on server so it's code somewhere sucking cycles or it's running on a one-legged hamster !

he updated the spell file DL and see alot less complaints/crashes

When I try to create a character it doesn't do anything when I click on the button. Only thing that works is the one that logs you out.

Aye, we are still trying to work out bugs and get things playable. We did some recent adjustments today so hopefully that helps. You can play and create a character right now just fine. The server was in bad shape earlier today, that's why you couldn't play.
